Qantas Delays/Cancellations

On Tuesday 7 July 2026, A333 VH-QPL arrived in SYD at 0637 hours, eight minutes early as QF82 from SIN.

However QF81 that it formed, the scheduled 1020 hours SYD-SIN did not take off until 1148 so for the second consecutive day it's more than an hour late with gate arrival likely at about 1802, 67 minutes delayed.
The fleet reliability at least slightly better than yesterday with 4 to 5 of the QFi A333 fleet of 10 facing delays like this won't help with the perception this airline is reliable on A333 service... Yes it is safe, but reliable? NO!

It had to have a new engine fitted at London Heathrow, but it's unclear why A388 VH-OQG that's been there since Friday morning, 3 July hasn't been able to form the 7 July QF2 (which is cancelled).

Perhaps the engine change is taking longer than expected?

Changing an engine does take time, but perhaps the issue is larger than expected - aka more issues after refitting the engine?
