On Friday 30 January 2026, QF63, the 0930 hours SYD-JNB (A388 VH-OQI) was airborne at 1059 hours with same day arrival at gate likely at 1548 hours, 48 late.

The QF63 referred to above formed, as usual, QF64 from JNB to SYD that on Friday 30 January took off at 1929 hours with Saturday 31 arrival at gate forecast for 1557 hours, 87 late.

Although Friday 30 January's QF1 arrived SIN at 2048 hours, 47 minutes early, the second sector to LHR scheduled at 2335 hours did not take off until 0214 on Saturday 31. A388 VH-OQB should arrive LHR at about 0809 hours, 114 minutes late. This is the second consecutive day QF1 is more than an hour late, though many other recent days have been punctual.

Continuing with Saturday 31 January, QF102, the 1445 hours mid afternoon NAN-SYD (B738 VH-XZB) took off at 1739 hours so suggested gate arrival tonight becomes 2035 hours, 130 minutes late. This was despite the earlier flight, QF101, only arriving NAN 25 minutes late at 1410 hours.

A388 VH-OQH on the 1615 hours SYD-SIN-LHR QF1 is expected to depart at 1800 hours. The plane has been in Sydney since 0608 hours this morning, arriving as QF8 ex DFW, so unsure why this afternoon''s delay.

I've been sitting in the F lounge since ~1320. They've announced delays to QF1 a few times, just called the boarding not long ago. Haven't said why.

QF11 pushed back from the gate at 20.18 - 2.5 hours behind schedule - and the second day in a row it has departed behind schedule.
Certainly did not seem an enjoyable afternoon to be a QF A380 departing SYD with QF1 also late, but the earlier services of QF63 and QF7 mostly on time.
