Am wondering why people chase status through status runs rather than just joining Qantas Club?
From a quick look, it seems like for a little over $500 a year you get access to QP throughout aus and overseas (granted not business lounge) and emirates business lounge in dubai and AA Admirals lounges throughout the world. Also get priority check-in (not sure about boarding).
So, if you were likely to travel mostly economy, it seems that this is better value than chasing status? Or am I missing something?
Cheers!
