I think you'll be out of luck with a QP card alone. Try the AAdmiral's Club 30-day membership. $99 for a month with guest privileges. I used one in April as a non-QP NB, and it worked fine.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Assuming you are flying AA then Yes for you and a guest, and they will probably give you free drink vouchers. If they don't, ask and you might get lucky. In most AC you will need to pay for fairly much everything so don't expect the same level of free food and drinks as the QP. Some locations also need you to ask for a voucher or login for wifi if you want that, ask for the details at reception.

When travelling with American Airlines, as a Qantas Club member you and a guest are welcome at American Airlines Admirals Club lounges. Simply present your Qantas Club card together with your boarding pass at the lounge reception. Both you and your guest need to be travelling together further that day on a flight marketed and operated by the partner airline whose lounge you wish to visit.
