I will be travelling to Japan from Sydney via Osaka towards the end of September with my two daughters aged 11 & 13. It is a special trip as I have been very sick this year and this is a time for us to spend together. We have quite a long transit in Cairns and was thinking I would like to take them to the Qantas Club as a special treat. Can you tell me if I can buy a one time pass to enter the Qantas Club in Cairns. Thank you.

Qantas Club passes are on always on ebay.
Just make sure the expiry date suits.

Cairns city is only 10 minutes cab ride away, far more interesting than the Qantas Club for any stopover of 2+ hours.

The Cairns International terminal does not have a Qantas Club - the Lounge at Cairns International (not run by Qantas) is available only to JQ passengers who have purchased a Jetstar Bus Max bundle fare. Unfortunately - the Cairns International airport is pretty uninspiring.

Thank you all for your responses.

On the way to Japan about 3 hours but on the way home, almost 5 hours but arriving at 4:30am.
im thinking on the way home I'll take a taxi into town and let the kids swim in the pool on the promenade and then have breakfast. On the way it looks like we will just kill time in the main terminal.

Note that the lagoon pool is open from 6.00am to 9.00pm Thursday to Tuesday. On Wednesdays it opens at noon.

If you still want the QC the terminals are only about 200m apart, easy undercover walk.

What are the flight numbers for your outward and inward flights?

If the SYD/CNS is an international JQ flight then you'll clear customs in SYD so only be in transit airside at the CNS International terminal so you wouldn't be able to leave the secure area to go to the the Qantas Club at the Domestic terminal.

Flights both ways are domestic between Sydney and Cairns
