just double check to see if youre eligible for corporate membership... i was about to pull the trigger on this but decided to call up to check pricing and managed to get a 2 year deal for not much more including the sign up fee....

Can I ask under what circumstances you qualified for the corporate discount? Does your employer have a membership or similar? Thanks

My employer may put me on the corporate scheme if I push, but I figure they'll try and steal my points off me if this is the case (NOT happening!!). Assuming it's tax-deductible as well, so really not a bad price. A worthwhile allocation of some of the savings I made from using .br?

You can access corporate rates if you are a gold member of this forum - I don't know how the rates compare with this special

Not much more for corporate 2 year looks about twice the cost $470 vs $940 - unless there is a discount on the corporate at the moment too. On average the same though I guess.

And hi I'm new to the forums!

A colleague of mine got a targeted email offer, 1st year membership incl joining fee, $475 incl 60.000 QFF points?

Can that be for real?

Could it be $475 or 60000 points?

Well he bought and paid for it this morning before we flew out and he said it was including 60,000 points but I think he may of mis read that! He is anticipating getting 60,000 points.

I just got this offer too, which is somewhat useless since I have a flight booked for the weekend which will take me from PS to SG. Oh well.

Do you have a link, I know a few people that would be happy to pay for it (BTW it goes on hold while your SG, so could be used later).

Wonder why you would target it, a 60000 point bonus at that pricing would be popular.

Yes, when I click on the link and enter the required info, it takes me to the FF login page. And interestingly, I was given a quote of $470 OR 140,000 points for a 1 year membership once I have logged in.

Yes, this is correct. :)

I remember the 90yrs anniversary offer, where they dropped the joining fee for 90 hours (that's when I joined). This seems a similar sort of cost. If you select not a QFF the the page pops straight up with the $470 offer.

Sorry I should have re-worded it… by checking your eligibility I meant with your employer, not Qantas… once you obtain your corporate membership ID you provide this to the call centre and they’ll provide you with your negotiated corporate discounts… I’ve found my wife’s corp ID and mine were very different to each other and both substantially cheaper than the generic corporate rate quoted on the Qantas website.

Is it the case, Red Roo, that some are being offered 60,000 bonus points for taking up this offer? I wouldn't mind that!!!

While you can use 140,000 Qantas points to purchase Qantas Club membership at the discounted rate, there are no bonus points to be earned as part of this offer.

Hi Red Roo,
I received the email with the offer however my QC membership having recently ended it directs me to the renewal page and quotes $485 for one year.. It is waiving the $370 joining fee but charging $485 instead of $100 for the one year membership..

Qantas Club members have access the AA operated Admirals Club lounges. Access isn't available at third-party operated lounges.
As a Qantas Club Member I wasn't given access to the AA lounge in Narita and had to wait for the Qantas Lounge to open. Note- was in transit on a QF ticketed flight (QF metal and BA metal).

Quick question. If you are PS and have a QC membership with six months to run, then hit SG (which gives you complimentary QC membership) Is the QC membership extended by 12 months or effectively only six months? e.g. PS holding QC membership expiring 30 Dec 13 hits SG on 30 June 13. Does the QC membership expire on 30 June 14 or 30 Dec 14?
