Hi

I may need to make a QF Classic Award redemption booking next month online at last minute. Subject to availability is it 2 hours or 24 hours I need to book from departure time? Travel is domestic in economy. The website says 24 hours but then says booking on Qantas.com is 2 hours.

The website lets me book a classic award for tonight so I guess the notice required must be really short.

I had a situation last year where U class was showing for an international Qantas flight I wanted; this for was the next day but within 24 hours of departure - I could not book it on Qantas.com. I could book it on AA.com.

Of course waiting to the last minute to book a classic award is quite risky even for economy seats. You could be left having to pay top dollar for a revenue seat.

QF were unable/not capable to ticket an award booking change made about 96 hours before departure (and despite three separate phone calls telling them they had yet to ticket the booking changes).
