Hi There

I have a question, which may seem stupid hehe. So i am looking to book 2 first Class tickets with my points from MEL to LAX, i have finally saved up enough points to do this or London (however the girlfriend prefers the USA much more haha). Anyway, i want to try and book two tickets obviously however whenever i look it up there is never any. There is some when searching for single tickets though. What i am curious to know is that if i book a single ticket, do you think another single ticket is available or is it just that there is only 1 spot available? If say i was to book a single ticket and there was no availability for a second ticket would i get refunded the $$ spent on taxes when i cancel the ticket (and only have to use 5000 points?) Are there any other ways to book two tickets?

FYI i am looking always at the last dates in the calendar as it seems to be the only time there is availability haha!

Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch

Im not an expert on qantas, but if F is like business then u need to book when seats are first released around 10am each day. which sounds like what your doing already.
Qantas might only release one F seat as an award for each flight though. you can get around this by calling and asking if they are prepared to release another. (if you had gold or plat this would probably have better results).
If you cancel everything is refunded minus the 5000 points
