I just came here to share the menu from that same flight, and I see you beat me to it.SYD-WLG 18:45 flight Usual PDBs offered. No pre
-meal drinks service which was disappointing. Otherwise good flight with nice service from the crew.

Beef was very tasty, albeit a little gristly. Veggies crisp and fresh. Good meal. Ice cream offered after the meal.

Ugh - I’m on that flight in a few weeks time. I guess I’ll just try and eat for real in the terminalWell, let me lower your expectations even further.

Roast lamb sounded great but was actually terrible. Very tough piece of meat and way overcooked. Not helped by the fact that the crew decided to chat for an hour before starting the service.
Salmon and potato salad tasted like cardboard.
Other than the slow start, service was friendly and fine. But a very disappointing meal and feedback provided.
I'll report on my experience this coming Saturday (also on the 1555 flight). If it's as bad as I fear, the Japanese place in the terminal (pre-security - there's not a whole lot in the international departure area) is not too bad.Ugh - I’m on that flight in a few weeks time. Last I remember in the WLG departure area there was a Subway; naturally, it was making a killing in business.I'll report on my experience this coming Saturday (also on the 1555 flight). Turns out mine is actually a bit later in June, so I might luck out with a winter menu rotation by thenI'll report on my experience this coming Saturday (also on the 1555 flight). It's still my belief (and experience) that taking meals orders by status in international J went away in 2024 when Qantas switched to tray service.I know it's not a published P1 benefit, but I was also slightly miffed about not getting asked for our meal preferences in advance when this has happened for both my wife and I on every single international flight (in both Y and J) since we became P1.
Hopefully they didnt cover the whole thing with that awful ponzu sauce! I found it sickingly sweet when I had this on QF26 a few weeks ago. It certainly didn't help the steak!Qantas is now contractually required to serve leather instead of edible beefNeil had no qualms agreeing given that level of doneness was already the norm
