Likely an improvement on Row 4’s offeringQF157, MEL-AKL 18:30 departure.
Just two main course choices for dinner, although by the time the FA got to me in row 3 only the chicken was left. It was fine, I guess.

They (the SRs) were available for lunch there last Sunday, alongside some pies. Definitely "handmade" - the "chef" was in the corner of the lounge rolling them out ...Not an in-flight meal, but this post reminded me of the fresh sausage rolls being served for dinner in the BNE dom J lounge recently. Have been quite impressed with them.
I still don’t understand the difference between Pumkin and sweet potato.
It isn't a requirement to eat meat at every meal, every day. You will survive.Taste completely different to me, can tell them apart easily in any taste test and bothe good options imo.
I dislike it when one of tye standard options is vegetarian or vegan, as that leaves fewer choices. If you want vegan order a special meal.
If im paying for a J ticket, Qantas should provide proper animal protein. Vegan / Vegetarian is a side dish. When 1 of the 2 choices is vego and the meat runs out by row one i think its unacceptable. It isn't a requirement to eat meat at every meal, every day. You will survive.

Vegan mealsare incomplete proteinsand mostly carbs.
Agree with everything you say here, just not on the pumpkin/ sweet potato front. My Australian hubby seems to agree with those being different somehow but he hates both equallyTaste completely different to me, could tell them apart easily in any taste test and both good options imo.

They grow white asparagus in Tassie now
They do? Gotta check that out. Some places in NZ have had it for a while now too- probably needs the cooler climate I am guessing?
Yea- it’s exactly the same plant. But the green one is grown cheaply and is boring as hell while the white one is a real delicatessen due to the effort and work that went into it. No comparison in taste and tenderness- not even close!Sorry, behind play. White asparagus is just regular asparagus deprived of light and therefore
