QF 691 MEL-ADL I had beef noodle salad beef a bit hard to cut and made a touch harder to cut with a tray that was not stable, and had a significant tilt in the middle part. The lord had chicken stir fry…… and as the only one to have a red wine on board we got to take the nearly full bottle home ( however we are slightly paranoid what is written against our Qantas profile given how many bottles of wine we are given at the end of a flight 🍷🥂😂)

Continuing the double chocolate trend.
Penne pasta with smokey pork (sausage?). Slightly better then the ginger chicken noodles but still giving off supermarket ready meal vibes.
Agree on both- better than the ginger chicken noodles (way better in my eyes as those are just truly awful) but still nothing to write home about. And like the chicken, the pork mince is of highly questionable meat quality. I’d get better from the supermarket ;)

I've noticed that quite a few posts show pork dishes Is pork often on the menu? I'm hoping that it's not so common, particularly as I don't imagine them offering it as an additional option.

Each to their own. I personally love the fact that Qantas quite often offers pork in their dishes. Sorry for the poor piglets but they’re just way too yummie 😋

No double chocolate on Tuesday.
1300 departure, meal described as « a light refreshment » , not lunch.
Didn’t take a picture of the meal. This was the inflight entertainment.

The pork dishes tend to have better quality cuts than the beef or lamb on QF domestic flights. Also for me it isnt a proper airplane breakfast if bacon doesnt feature.
I actually like bacon and ham. I just can’t stomach pork. I don’t mean to be unnecessarily graphic, but if I eat it, I get to see it again.

How many main course options do they generally have on QF9 and QF2

Is this a cost saving measure?

Retail price this week at Australia's largest supermarket chain, Woolworths, is;

pork leg roast boneless $11.00/kg
lamb leg roast (not boneless) $15.00/kg
'simply' roast beef boneless (marinated) $16.00/kg

I am not quite comparing apples with two others of the same but hope you understand the gist.
