Re: Rumour:[Denied by RR] Qantas to ban JQ SYD-MEL pax from F lounges & send to J lou

it is Neil perry cuisine.

what I really can't understand is why Neil perry would allow his brand to suffer like this.

my suggestion a long time ago was to take a snap of any offending food (including the standard piece of gristle in any stew type food) and send it to him via twitter.

although maybe he approves of some of the atrocious food that is served?

NP has been known to show off lounge food via social media (instagram). I can't find it currently but he was quite chaffed with his hot dog stall in one of the J lounges around the turn of the year.

For VHOEJ, if QF were listening, they would think again about the post Jul 14 changes to points earn and SC earn on cheaper fares.
And yes, I did add my voice (by letter) to GPO Box 4357QQ, and got a reply phone call, but I couldn't get to the mobile in time to answer the call.

OT but this has happened to me twice. I have sent in feedback on negative experiences and a few weeks later my mobile has rang twice while sitting on my desk in front of me stopping before I could pick it up and from a private number - then seconds later an email comes through from the customer care centre saying they had tried to contact me but I was un available

probably very busy given the long (or very short according to QF) list of people with cancelled CD bookings.

... Given that generally you receive decent wine in J....

How hard is a decent cheese platter? For a 4 hr flight, that would be perfect for me. And bloody easy to cater.

Maybe they could run future cuisine choices past a panel of AFF members first? That would be one survey I may actually complete :)

The cheese platter was enhanced into the cheese cardboard box, and is actually a meal choice depending on the flight, rather that an "after dinner" accompaniment.... :)

On which flights? There is evidence that it was still being plated up earlier this month.

The same thread suggested the duck curry was on a DRW-MEL flight.

I have a transcon J flight towards the end of June so will let you know what the menu is after I get back.

BNE-ADL lunch flight, the cheese box was offered, rather than plated. It was nice, but actually one of the meal options, rather that a separate course like on International services (a different comparator, for this thread I appreciate!).

While on the subject of hot dogs, this was on the floor of my KTA-PER last night.

Has to have been the same 737 that operated my CNS-BNE flight on Saturday! Must have come off my 'tasting plate' that I was served in J... It was my first QF flight in probably 18 months (Am VA platinum) and the whole experience was underwhelming to say the least. The lounge food for breakfast included a bowl in the warm buffet of tinned spaghetti...The other option on board was a cheese and mushroom toasted sandwich which looked suspiciously like the Jetstar toastie I had in Jan on CNS-PER just in a ceramic bowl.

#33, did you drop it, or it wasn't cleaned up after the previous flight?
Is it a gherkin, or something horribly green, looks like a green p****.
Compared to the time I found an ice cream stick in the seat back on a QF flight, from PER to MEL (Airbus330/Boeing767-they used to give out ice cream on the QF transAust flight-not sure if they still do), ugh, what a sight, for me the ice cream stick, for you that green thing!

Back to the gist of the thread/post: I am always very weary about eating curry of any sort, a few hours prior to a flight, or on a flight... runny you know what and all that, ... I don't like/I think more so can't do the drop on a plane!
I chose the salmon in my Z class VA flight, this past weekend, lucky nothing happened.

Would you really have picked it up again, lets say if you had dropped it?
And daintily put it onto the used plate, next to the fork and knife?
Maybe ought to leave it and see if you ever saw that "thing" again on your next flight on that route.
The cleaners must be hard done by, to have missed such a thing, what ever it was/is... gherkin?
It can/could also be a green human man's member?
Anyway, as they say, thanks for sharing that pic.
Will be with me for the rest of my life.
QantasLink, I expect, as to flight eh?
Ok, too much chattery.
