Qantas adds OOL-AKL and SYD-AKL-APW

Goodbye to the OOL-AKL status run.

It's only 3 flights a week, the fare will still need to enable flights on other days and times. The timings also seem to target ex-NZ pax, not Aussies. Completely useless connecting to QF3/4.

I wonder if they misconstrued all the OOL - MEL- AKL status runs as actual demand 😂😂. I can just see some spreadsheet pusher see all the business demand and go we should send a flight.

Fairly sure Virgin operated the AKL-APW route prior to collapse and it didn’t return

I assume these are operated by Jetconnect.

Jetconnect isn't an airline, they can't operate it. It might (probably) use their crews though,.

Jetconnect NZ as an airline ceased to operate in 2018. All NZ rego aircraft were transferred to Au rego (VH--).

Jetconnect NZ still operates as a lower cost internal labour hire for QF.

Short-Haul

Our short-haul crew are the safety-focused smiling faces on our Trans-Tasman routes. Based in Auckland Wellington or Christchurch, they get to experience regular trips to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Trips just over the ditch mean they have more time for those special moments and connections at home with family and friends.

Long-Haul

Our long-haul crew fly varying routes across the Qantas network to destinations which currently include New York, Los Angeles, Delhi and Australia. They’re adventurers who love to provide outstanding service and safety to our passengers flying further afield.

Looks like there are new flights QF117/118 between BNE and AKL to connect with the APW service
