Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

In theory

You could travel Central to Mascot
$3.03
And switch cards and pay only $12.68 from Mascot to Syd Dom or international airport

The slight flaw is you’ve just missed the train to airport if you get off and re-enter at Mascot, and you need to wait for the next train. But if you’re super early and have time, there’ll be another in about 10 mins.

But by which time the small walk to the bus stop will probably end up being a lot cheaper and about the same time.
Which works for small HLO but can be problematic with larger luggage.

It costs me $29.97 from my house to SYD DOM by public transport and 2hrs 30minutes door to door (which includes someone driving me to the bus stop). = $59.94 round trip

Electric car
$18.87 and $24.57 in tolls = $43.44 round trip
But only 1hr
Fuel cost $0.43 for 103km round trip
Total car $43.87
Of course there is depreciation on car and parking but no need to get to bus stop with luggage 1km from house

As soon as a second person is travelling at the same time, the car is cheaper
