I'd just stick with the Air NZ lounge. Currently the best of the bunch in terms of food and drinks. SQ has gone down hill whilst Air NZ has improved.Any recent reviews of the Escape lounge? I’m flying out on EVA this evening and trying to decide whether to head there or the Air NZ lounge before the SQ one (which I understand to be the best of the bunch?) opens.
Star Alliance policy is rather clear on this one:Was just turned away from the ANZ lounge. Told “we don’t accept EVA” and redirected to Escape.
Seems odd. You have to wonder what the point of an alliance-wide policy is if individual airlines are free to disregard it.Star Alliance policy is rather clear on this one:
Lounge Access Policy - Star Alliance
Access policy for the Star Alliance member airline lounges around the world.www.staralliance.com
That being said I would blame EVA here as they are known for being very stingy when it comes to lounge access.
Oddly its a nicer space and probably better drinks then the plaza premium but the plaza premium has better food.Escape lounge is rather unimpressive (the food offerings in particular).
Nothing new, just look at Qatar in oneworld or Delta in Skyteam.Seems odd. You have to wonder what the point of an alliance-wide policy is if individual airlines are free to disregard it.
