Thought I would update this post on my most recent visit to the BNE PP lounge which has moved next to gate 77.

In summary, it is dreadful.

It is in a cordoned off section next to the main walkway - absolutely zero peace and quiet. There is a travelator right outside the area and a cheap black curtain separates you from gate 77. It was hot, loud and noisy.

Bar had coke, coke zero and 7up. Mixers were Cascade tonic and soda water and some ordinary wines. No beers at all available. Small selection of low-grade spirits. Ice had completely melted barring a few cubes in the bucket.

Basic lounge happy with skin milk available and the coffee was nice.

BNE airport advertising 15% off Escape Lounge:

I can be pretty sure when I was in the Escape lounge at 8am a few weeks ago the food and cleanliness of the hot food area absolutely most positively definitely did not look as appetizing as the photo above. But the barista made a nice coffee for me. The lounge was really busy- no tables available if your travelling party was more than 2.

Any recent reviews of the Escape lounge? I’m flying out on EVA this evening and trying to decide whether to head there or the Air NZ lounge before the SQ one (which I understand to be the best of the bunch?) opens.

I'd just stick with the Air NZ lounge. Currently the best of the bunch in terms of food and drinks. SQ has gone down hill whilst Air NZ has improved.
