Priority Club Point Breaks

The Priority Club Point Breaks list has been updated - these are the properties that you can redeem for 5000 points per night. The official list is still showing the old properties (only Alice Springs and Rooty Hill in Australia) but if you look for reward nights you can find others. Intercontinental in Perth for example.

And if you don't have 5000 Priority Club points you can buy them for only US$50.

Speaking of PC, on FT they are talking about a survey that gives 1000 points. Has anyone gotten it? I don't think any Aussies have posted that they got targetted for it. FTers are saying it takes up to an hour to complete but that doesn't worry me, the laptop is in front of the tv.

Does anyone have a link?

I did get it, but the link is specific to me. Actually, never even asks for PC number so I guess it is buried in the link somewhere.

Yep, I got it yesterday morning. Only took me 10 to 15 minutes because most of the hotels I've stayed at recently weren't on their list.

I am not sure how it selected which chain it was going to question on. I got asked lots about Starwood, even though I have not stayed at one for over a year.

I wonder what the criteria is to get the survey? It seems not everyone is getting one. I want 1000 free points!!

How do you value the up to one hour against 1000 points :?:

I'm just not sure it's worth it. (Not that it matters as I haven't been asked) :mrgreen:

I don't think knowing the criteria would make someone a candidate to receive the survey!

FWIW I have not received the survey either.

Thanks for the info Steve - $75 for a night at the Burswood Intercontinental got me lots of bonus points with my other half.

They haven't been around long, but it seems to be at the start of the month. I'm actually delaying a couple of bookings just in case they are added to the Point Breaks list in August.

Crowne Plaza Norwest has disappeared off that list, but the others are still there. I just booked CP Christchurch in Nov, to go with a grabaseat fare.

Incidentally, if you had enough points, and there was availability, you could book up to 99 nights using this rate.

99 x 5000 points = 495000 points

Was playing around with Christchurch system, and the system allowed:

Sat 27 Oct 2007 - Fri 18 Jan 2008 (83 Nights)

Probably part of the reason why CP Norwest isn't there anymore.

Webpage hasn't been updated, but just by searching:

Crowne Plaza Newcastle is still 5000 points till end of Dec.
Two Holiday Inns in Christchurch are 5000 points.

Crowne Plaza Queenstown also 5000 points. Great for the Flyertalk Queenstown Do.

Haven't searched or picked up any others yet.

The Pointbreak list has now grown a lot. But even more so with Asia/Europe/rest of the world options ...... Quite amazing actually. Definitely extremely good value and I am sure I will stay with IC program for now
