I think they will eventually. Just a prediction and another way of earning a few extra dollars

You could say that they already have - its just in a silver/orange liveried aircraft ;)

You're right of course, but then many argued J in the A330-200 was only ever Premium Economy anyway;)

I'd wager they'll be a premium economy in the A380. Hard to argue all economy seats are the same, so why not charge a premium for the ones close to the front doors:p

Isnt that what UA do? Charge a premium for a better seat even though nothing else changes?

Not necessarily. There is a school of thought that lose some business fares when add premium economy.

QF hasn't felt the need to add premium economy in light of competitor's having this product on Oz-SIN/BKK/HKG/LHR/NZ/LAX/SFO routes.

Possibly a premium economy section on the A380 if QF still operates aircraft then.

Has anyone flown prem eco?

I seen SAS had it looked ok but on long hauls flat bed is best.

Yes I've flown premium economy. Note that what airlines call premium economy varies considerably. On some airlines it is slightly more legroom than other economy seats and nothing else. On other airlines it is more legroom, more seat width, premium check in, better food and drink, etc.

Not me. I am happy sitting down the back, with recliners, screaming kids and mobile phone users, and saving money. One day who knows....

Has JAL returned to one world yet. I think they have a J class.

I flew BA WT+. The big difference was the seat - plenty of room. Also small cabin was nice. I guess business class check in is a benefit (not for me as QF SG)

Business class check in is not a benefit of WT+ though

WT+ earns 1.1 miles per mile flown plus earns SCs at the full economy SC rate
