The only one that's not really approved is Sputnik and I'd think that's an outlier surely.
And the chinese Sinopharm which a lot of countries are using (the one approved is Sinovac which is different).

One hopes the airlines do not just give up and say TGA approved vaccines onboard only.

I think we would have heard people shouting it from the rooftops if they had.Has there been an official date announced for when the federal government will remove the outbound travel restriction? For those interested in visiting relatives overseas, this must obviously be taken together with NSW's new stance on quarantine-free inbound travel.
Yeh but my fiance has got Sinopharm so a bit of a kick in the guts if she cannot come here after all this newsAnd given is very poor effectivness, high death rate amongst workers fully vaccinated with it, we shouldn't accept it.
Doesn't this mean that if you show your vaccination certificate showing double vaxxed, you won't have to do the tests? It says Green pass OR antigen OR PCR so you might be OK?View attachment 262130This is the actual information provided to me (as you can see it’s separate to the flight requirements). I hope it changes before I actually get to the hotel in 7 months . This (and many LHW) hotels actually do Covid testing which I could access if the onward hotel demands it (And pre flight) but this was not something I anticipated. Plenty of times before wheels up!!

Yeh - we figured it out - my elevated level of excitement at actually booking a hotel let to system failure (temporary loss of vision and brain power).Doesn't this mean that if you show your vaccination certificate showing double vaxxed, you won't have to do the tests? Well, I wish this was true but I'd assume one first has to somehow get onto the Australian Immunisation Registry and then a barcode to proof to the friendly men in black at the front of Opera Bar that one is double vaccinated. Or not?Zip. You can go straight from T1 to the Opera Bar.
Well even NSW would need unvaccinated players to quarantine so I’m thinking they just won’t come to AustraliaMaybe Sydney will poach the Australian Open haha. Barmy Army will be booking their tickets to the test matches in Sydney and Melbourne by the sounds of it. I wonder if Cricket Australia will take tests off Perth and Brisbane. Perhaps the schedule will be Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Hobart.

Still only 1/3rd of the 18,000 seats on planes currently flying into Sydney each week. Assume that over the coming days more of these will come available as airlines work out how to manage it.An airline source has told Guardian Australia that over the coming 48 hours, 6,000 seats per week will become available to book across all of the airlines currently operating flights into Sydney.
GO GO GO!!!

This in general is what I am still very unclear of. How will they police the vaccinations- just trusting the local checkin agents at point of departure that it has been checked? And then, getting it recognised in Australia surely will take a while, even if your local GP can add this info onto the registry. Unless there's something more simplified in the works but ready in two weeks from now?
So I'd better not hope too desperately for that cold one in my favourite Sydney pub just yet...
I'm sure your fiance will be here before you know it! You must be so happy right now - there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am planning to see Seat Son early next year when his work obligations permit him to take some leave. An airline source has told Guardian Australia that over the coming 48 hours, 6,000 seats per week will become available to book across all of the airlines currently operating flights into Sydney.

Since when that, did I miss something? Services Australia website still says the same as it did when I had last checked: You can only do this in person at a "registered immunisation clinic" once you're in the country. This can be done in advance of departure if you are an Aussie. There is ability to have overseas vaccinations uploaded into medicare, provided you are eligible for a medicare account, then you just link to Service NSW app (again can be done before arrival).

If there's really a new facility to do this online prior to travel, then please share as I cannot find it anywhere (besides some vague announcements about 'some time in the future'). And yes, Aussie and have Medicare (and an active Service NSW app).

Wow- that's an awesome idea, never thought of it! But would a GP be able to add the vaccination status into that Air system just by seeing it on a zoom call or similar? I could definitely see just my regular GP over over 15 years back in Sydney before I go but need to be confident that it actually works that easily.See if you can make a tele appointment with a GP here
