Points tickets availability FCO-BNE

Hi all, Does anyone know what's going on with Virgin and international points tickets. 2 x J tickets
I'm trying to book a point ticket from Rome to Brisbane but I see there is nothing available for full months. Aug,Sep 2020. It doesn't matter where I try to return from FCO,MXP or even Athens!.
the site actually doesn't allow me to even look up BNE,SYD or MEL as a destination from FCO ?. I've booked a one way from EU in the past.. any advice welcome.

Have you thought about SQ KF's own account.
Because VA on its own does not fly that route, I would say only SQ does.
Have you looked at SQ and see if they have any award seats available?
Might have to phone up SQ telephone sales, and see if they can see any award seats.
Then transfer your VFF to SQ KF, (at a loss/discount of a bit), and see if you might have to do the SQ P+P, from 950 SQ KF miles, you can do a P+P booking.
1 VFF point now equals about 0.55 SQ KF miles.
You mention that you have done bookings for EU to Aust in the past, was it via SQ or via EY?
If no J with SQ either, would you be happy to go with EY (J/), or either in Y (economy), if they have availability in Y?

Or you could pay Euro710.50/Aud$1151 for a trip in Y per person, or Euro1948.50 per person in premY, and use P+P.
There are seats to buy, on 09Oct2020.
I know its near a 24 hour slog in Y for the flight from FCO to BNE, ...
I can't check J availability as they need my SQ KF # to check and see how much/many points needed, and if there is availability.
Maybe SQ does not want to release seats too early.
I have done SQ J for a short hop, MEL - WLG, and the service is good.

To find availability you could search for a return booking from BNE-FCO and of anything shows up you could call to book just the FCO-BNE.
By doing that I can see availability on several days on EY for 139k + $718.

SQ is cheaper in points and fees and if you are prepared to depart from elsewhere in the EU you might find better availability?

Hi all, thanks for all the tips, I explored all advice and very thankful. I ended up for others to take note of, was to look up the EY rewards flights and found plenty of options. Called Velocity team and they booked my flight (2xJ) on my preferred date for 139k + $718. AU as you mentioned Jase05.

Oh, yes A Poochie, I did check SQ on mobile = negative. I rather fly SQ as I'm more convinced their hard and soft product is now better then EY.
