So with Covid-19, my flying, just like most of us, has basically been grounded. Most of my flights were work related and work seems to have adopted MS Teams as a near permanent replacement to flying. I'm trying to be creative to get enough status credits to maintain my current tier, obviously with minimal outlay. Maybe I'm wasting my time, effort, QFF points and money in doing so as I'm only silver. But the concept is there for higher tiers also, and poor cousin silver still offers some meagre benefits.
So Qantas has gifted us half the status credits we need to maintain our tier, so as silver I got 125 status credits. My membership year starts in April, so if I'm interpreting the chart correctly I'll also get a monthly bonus of +5 for March and April, bringing me to 135. I signed up for BP Rewards for another +10. so will be at 145 when the monthly bonuses arrive. So that means I need 105 more status credits to keep silver.
As a Points Club member, I can earn status credits for taking classic flight awards. Are there any worthwhile classic award status runs, obviously needs to be domestic, and probably bypassing Melbourne, that would get me at least 105 status credits? Based in Cairns, so ideally ex Cairns, return Cairns.
So chart is as follows: (not sure where you find premium economy domestically)

I'm guessing business class would be most ideal to earn the maximum status credits:
Some destinations and distances that come to mind:
Cairns - Brisbane is: 862 miles (24 status credits)
Cairns - Sydney is:1222 miles (24 status credits)
Cairns - Darwin is: 1042 miles (24 status credits)
Brisbane - Sydney is: 467 miles (16 status credits)
Brisbane - Adelaide is: 1007 miles (24 status credits)
Brisbane - Perth is: 2246 miles (32 status credits)
Brisbane - Darwin is: 1771 miles (32 status credits)
Sydney - Perth is: 2041 miles (32 status credits)
Also some flights are more desirable than others, such as A330, eg: Cairns - Sydney and some flights to/from Perth. And airports with business lounge versus just qantas club are also more desirable.
Do you double dip on multi city flights? So Cairns to Sydney is 41500 QFF points for 24 status credits, but Cairns to Brisbane to Sydney is also 41500 QFF points. Do you just get 24 status credits or do you get 40 (24 for Cairns to Brisbane leg + 16 for Brisbane to Sydney leg)?
