Philippine Airlines Now Bookable With Qantas Points

If only they had of released this a couple of weeks earlier I fly MNL to TAG return in 10 days with Philippine Airlines (PAL Express - I think). Had a look on the App when the partnership was announced, my flights were there Not worth cancelling and rebooking.

And also available to fly to YVR and YYZ direct from MNL, which poses as a great alternative to Cathay Pacific.

Indeed we just suffered the PER - YVR route on CX and the 13 hours in PE after the 9 hours PER - HKG. If we ever do that trip again, we will use that route and certainly find the money or the points for J seats.

Philippine Airlines on J would definitely better than CX E/R/W.
I hope PR J would be available for redemption soon.

In the widebodies, six of the 10 A333s (AFAIK) have the poor J configuration, but PR seems to make an effort NOT to send these to SYD or MEL.

The B773ERs are 2-2-2 in J but with a very good pitch, which means the monitor is far away from the seated passenger.

In the narrowbodies, some of the A321s have lie flat seats. These normally operate MNL-BNE and MNL-PER.

They'll soon have a significantly better product on BNE-MNL than QF!
