Philippine Airlines Now Bookable With Qantas Points

If only they had of released this a couple of weeks earlier 😔 I fly MNL to TAG return in 10 days with Philippine Airlines (PAL Express - I think). Had a look on the App when the partnership was announced, my flights were there 😭 Not worth cancelling and rebooking.

And also available to fly to YVR and YYZ direct from MNL, which poses as a great alternative to Cathay Pacific.
Indeed we just suffered the PER - YVR route on CX and the 13 hours in PE after the 9 hours PER - HKG. If we ever do that trip again, we will use that route and certainly find the money or the points for J seats.

Philippine Airlines on J would definitely better than CX E/R/W.
I hope PR J would be available for redemption soon.
Checked all weekend and nothing.

Just remember though that PR still has a lot of aircraft with absolutely woeful J seats

In the widebodies, six of the 10 A333s (AFAIK) have the poor J configuration, but PR seems to make an effort NOT to send these to SYD or MEL.

The B773ERs are 2-2-2 in J but with a very good pitch, which means the monitor is far away from the seated passenger.

In the narrowbodies, some of the A321s have lie flat seats. These normally operate MNL-BNE and MNL-PER.
