I'm not really a people person (generally speaking I hate people) so I think I'll stay clear. Good idea though.

Burswood works...some good options out there, especially for dinner ;)

Have a small c concern about the traditional PER congestion at this time of year..... As we know it is not just ATC PER but it is everything PER.

So, if it is to be a pre Chrissy meet, a decision and a booking now would be best methinks ;)

I'm all for a regular meet up. This time of year Steve's Hotel down by the river might be good. It is pretty central and there is parking.

So it has finally come to pass :D

I'll be there in Perth next year - likely to be twice next year (perhaps 3), but my Meet a Moderator times are less flexible.

I'll drink anywhere.

I guess the location could be decided by a number of things.

The main beaches seem to have their joints- Cottosloe (The Cott, OBH), Hillarys (The Breakwater), Mullaloo (The Mullaloo).

Centrally, Steve's has been around for a while, you have Burswood, Mt Lawley has the Queens.

I guess Freo does have a few joints, wouldn't mind hitting Little Creatures up.

It all comes down to where is convenient and what the general consensus is.

Yeah do agree with JohnM, maybe a nice easy central place would be a good start and then can see about places down by the beaches or freo in the future....

little creatures would be good. but I hear that's more a lazy sunday afternoon thing...

I up for this as well. Somewhere in the city or maybe in Vic Park would be good. :)

Steve's...... as in, near Uni that we used to always go to during the week?

The Balmoral or The Broken Hill aren't bad.

To be fair someone else did mention Steve's. I had just included it.

I think a poll is probably a fair idea, as you could go around for a while trying to pick a suitable location.

Steve's near the uni closed down years ago didn't it???

I was always more a The Leederville sort of guy before they ruined it...

I thought so, although I think it then re-opened as something a little ... more classy?

Ah, The Leedy... Wednesday nights there, then onto Black Bettys on the free bus :D

Yes, the Leedy on a Wednesday night, and Sunday sesh's as well... Always good!!!

Till some clown decided to make it more 'classy' as well...

Got to be a range of venue's and hang on to old traditions sometimes...

Now that we have unanimous agreement on the location do we have a date under consideration??

No Reggie it was just me joking!
We need you to tell us where and when and that would work.

I'm up for it as well, midweek and CBD for preference as long as I can fit in around work and SWMBO. Can't stay long either so only a beer or two (OK maybe three).

As a wine drinker, Steve's suits me. It is definitely not what it was when I was at UWA in, dare I say it, the late '60s :). No 20 cent middies and dodging the liquor squad when the drinking age was 21 (once unsuccessfully) are are couple of differences that immediately comes to mind .

I'm away next week and the week after, by which time Xmas will be looming. Perhaps this is not the best time of year to be organising something. Maybe after mid-January might be the go?
