Not sure. I got one this morning and I just flew last week and have last flight next week to maintain WP before end of Feb. Certainly no indcuement from my perspective but much welcome!

I got one. Still WP and half way to retaining (by April 30). I've got the balance covered, although QF won't know that since there's quite a few SC's booked direct with AA.

I have 6 or so bookings in MMB, although only 1 return flight directly with QF (the others being AY/BA). Have plans for two "qualifying" flights this August to retain PS, so will certainly look to use the $50 voucher.

Wonder what the basis was for issuing them.

It's the money from the fuel surcharge they transferred to the base fare!
QF always like to do things differently; for example starting a huge share buyback program when they are in financial distress! It defies logic

I got one too as a WP. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with my recent flight history. I have racked up around 700 SCs in the past two months.

I was the lucky one in the OATEK household, as SWMBO with roughly same flight history this last year, both requalified PS at same time, and both had SC reset to Zero this week. But I was the only recipient of the $50 voucher!

It really seems to boil down to "the haves, and have nots". Would be interesting to know why they targeted the members they have.
