Just wondering what peoples experience in how long PC points take to post for stays in Australia. I have found that it varies widely from a few days out to two weeks.

Both my recent stays (HI MEL and HI PER) were within 3 to 4 days.

Now it will be interesting to see how long the HI Surfers Paradise takes to turn up. They were talking about how their stsyems linked directly to Holidex, so let's see how good they are...

Lindsay, should be about 4 days for HI Surferes, I ama regular there!

I find it can take up to a week; after that time I contact the PC Service Desk to get it fixed

Indeed, that's just what it took....most of the non-targeted promos seems to be posting without a problem...

Check-In 23 Jun 2006
Qualifying Nights 2

Qualifying Stay 3213 pts.
Platinum bonus 1606 pts.
New member bonus 1500 pts.
Q3 2006 stay 2 promotion 2000 pts.
Stay 5, get 10,000 points 10000 pts.
Email booking bonus 1000 pts.
Total: 19319 pts

Now I also registered for another 1K bonus (printed out the offer page from the web, so that should be rolling into Holidex anytime soon). Wonder when my online booking bonius of 1K will post.

Not that I'll be losing sleep over them (I only need 4500 points to retain Plat)

I was under the impression that the entry Email Booking Bonus was how the online booking bonus was appearing. It appears in my most recent stay (which happened after the still missing stay)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

What is your experience in how long they need to 'research' the non posting?

Has anyone been given the story about rates discounted more than 30% are ineligable? They referred me to the terms and conditions, but as far as I can tell, there is no such rule there about it.

I see nothing in the terms and conditions for Asia Pacific relating to the rates being ineligible if it is greater than 30% discount.

In addition, in North, South and Central America and the Caribbean, points may be collected at conference, meeting and locally negotiated rates if these rates are discounted less than 30%. At Asia Pacific hotels, Qualifying Room Rates also include all locally negotiated rates.

30% rule applies to North/South/Central/America and Carribean from what I read, but not Asia Pacific and as long as your rates were not one of the below.

Points are not issued for stays at the following reduced room rates (“Non-Qualifying Room Rates”; “Non-Qualifying Stay”): net wholesale individual and group rate, package rate, employee discount rate, crew rate, seasonal worker/crew rate, 50% travel club discount rate, industry discount rate, distressed passenger rate, Priority Club® Reward Nights/Airline Hotel Reward rate, most rates booked through most third party web sites, complimentary hotel stays or any other rates not defined as a Qualifying Room Rate.

Took some arguing, but the points were eventually forthcoming.

Stayed at CP Darling Harbour on Tuesday night.

Points posted sometime between 6pm yesterday and 11.30am this morning (as I checked last night before I boarded SYD/BNE flight):

Qualifying Stay 1450 pts
Platinum bonus 725 pts.
Email booking bonus 1000 pts.
Total 3175 pts.

Now I also stayed at HI on Flinders Thursday night. Would expect them mid next week.
