My question relates to Emirates flights but could just as well be any airline.

I was thinking of booking an Emirates flight in March but after looking at the Skywards frequent flyer program decided that to credit flights there would be a waste of time. Is there a way to find out which frequent flyer programs give credit for Emirates flights? I guess one way is to look at the Partner Airlines of Skywards frequent flyer program and then look at each frequent flyer program individually but this could be a painful exercise.

I was mainly interested in a frequent flyer program that does not have expiry of miles. Velocity is a possible choice but I think the earn rate is very poor considering the flights cost ~$780 and Velocity is a cost based frequent flyer program.

Any thoughts? Has anyone, possibly on FT, seen a cross-reference list?

Can't help you with the cross reference, but if creditting Emirates (and most partners) to Velocity, the rate is calculated per mile:

In the case of Emirates (per mile)

Discounted Economy (W, M, B, K, Q, L, T, V, G, H, E, U) 0.5 Point
Full Economy (Y) 1 Point
Business Class (J, C) 1.25 Points
First Class (F, A, P) 1.5 Points

So I could possibly earn ~4,662 Velocity points or ~6 Velocity points/dollar spent. Does not appear to be a very generous earn rate based on Velocity burn rates.

You might want to look at crediting to United Airlines. You won't earn EQM/EQP though, only RDM... Most of the airlines that you can earn miles in Skywards have reciprocal agreements.
