Close enough to do the jobIs it the same as what you were looking for?
Been like that for a while. Was like that on 26 April when I was last there.Tissue boxes now sitting where paper towels used to be in the Canberra business lounge.
None available in the Perth international lounge last week.12th June intl J lounge in Mel. They are still hanging on in there. Clearly it's just domestic passengers that don't need to have dry hands.

I’m seeing other unwelcome devaluations in some domestic business lounges (I assume QANTAS Club is also impacted by this). Toothbrushes in paper packaging with a single use paper sachet rather than a plastic toothbrush with a small plastic tube of toothpaste.
In fairness, this type of product is probably getting ahead of inevitable regulation on plastics from states rather than just a cost saving,I’m seeing other unwelcome devaluations in some domestic business lounges (I assume QANTAS Club is also impacted by this). Not to mention that a hand dryer doesn't really help you blow your nose either. Paper towels being "enhanced" is one thing, but surely we can expect tissues to still be made available? My key points were that hand dryers:
- Are noisy
- Spread airborne germs
- Take longer than a paper towel
- Are not helpful if you’ve washed your face or neck
- Don’t work if you want to blot your lippy
- Are not suitable for cleaning any sticky, messy children in your company

There were tissues available in SYD DOM J lounge when I was there a couple of weeks ago, but people were just using them to dry their hands in the absence of paper towel so I’d assume they are burning through the boxes where they are available. Not to mention that a hand dryer doesn't really help you blow your nose either. Probably right, but all the more reason for them to keep on top of restocking the bathrooms.I’d assume they are burning through the boxes where they are available.
