P1 Rebrand

Looks like they pulled the production link. Funny though their dev site is public -

For $375 …jeez. I’ll stick to cheaper luggage / sales.
I've had two July bags - the second was a replacement for the first which cracked in two places and had a wheel jettison midway down the airbridge to the plane.

The second bag met a similar fate with the wheel buckling and then falling off.

They are absolutely garbage bags and would highly recommend avoiding them if you fly frequently. Both my bags were used as carry on only and I take good care of my things.

I have July carry on and checked bags and thus far they've performed admirably. Admittedly I may not do the same volume of travel as many others here on the forum, but the carry on bag in particular has been used extensively over the (almost) last 2 years and hasn't skipped a beat (apart from the frame on the compression pad breaking courtesy of my own stupidity).

Team in syd and Mel were asking for my thoughts on the rebrand. Staff were saying they just look for the emerald logo in the app at the lounge but this will help a lot.

Was in 1F on the 220 tonight and could see the CSM on his iPad but didn’t get a glimpse of how we appear in terms of colour codes.

I’m going to ask next time I fly. I can’t imagine the new color has been pushed through to the iPad but I could be wrong.

Not sure if https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/status-and-clubs/status/compare-tier-benefits.html was updated as part of the rebrand, however I've noticed:

- 'Confirmed international upgrades from two days to departure' is now only listed for P1 (along with 'from 7 days' below it), whereas my understanding was this was all other tiers except P1?
- 'Access to extra seats for Qantas Classic Flight Rewards and Classic Upgrade Rewards' seems to have been made explicit, and again is only listed for P1.

Is part of the rebrand trying to juice the incremental value of P1 vs WP? To the average punter, there is little differentiating SG and WP beyond F lounges and priority security on international...

This is strange. It was previously a WP benefit.

This was previously a published benefit for P1 only.

Seems like this hasn't changed from previous tables per the WayBack Machine's capture on December 8th 2024....
