Is that calling the US number, or the Australian number?
There seem to be some mention on the AA website about non-US/UK/ Canadian residents not being able to book online as well.
Thanks.

I did it by calling the UK number and paying the UK office. The US office cannot take Australian credit cards ( which does have some delightful benefits ) and the Australia office requires a credit card authority form faxed to them, whilst the UK office were able to handle the booking and take payment for it over the phone

I'll stop here - there are lots more fares between 1900 and 2100.

Most of the date restricted fares listed above have a modest surcharge for departure date outside specified period.
Do these airfares include taxes and surcharges?

SYD-LHR using Zuji with OneWorld carriers, departing Aug 06 2007 and returning Sep 05 2007. I have zero flexibility with dates.

CX $1827 + $568.16 = $2395.16
QF $2074 + $532.36 = $2606.36
BA $2074 + $573.36 = $2647.36

JohnK - I presume you have a spare half day to fly SYD-AKL-SYD sometime between now and August.

What you can do is buy a 1-way ticket SYD-AKL on whoever.
Buy AKL-LHR ticket that allows stopover en route in Australia, fly as far as SYD. Stop.
In August/Sept resume that ticket to UK and return. Some will allow another stopover in Oz, some won't.
Rinse and repeat or buy a ticket AKL-SYD(-AKL).

Seasonality is based on the date of first international flight. NZ-Oz qualifies as such. Result is you get cheaper ticket than ex-Oz with 2 trips to NZ included.

Ahhhh! Great point. That was the furthest thing from my mind.

I am sure I can find a spare Sunday between now and March.

It takes an odd mind to think of flying in the opposite direction to where you want to head and to start in a different month from when you wanted to travel. :D

Apologies to Brett as I have managed to hijack his thread.

I did think about starting the trip early, but via SIN or BKK and not AKL, but with my work contract finishing and uncertainty with QF and OneWorld I want to defer the trip planning and decision making as long as possible which may mean paying a premium for the airfare in the end.
