Hi, First post.
Looking at purchasing a RTW fare with Oneworld and notice that it is cheaper to purchase such a ticket in New Zealand than it is in oz. If I book online using the itinerary planner under oneworld’s web site paying in NZ Dollars will I have any problems?.
After doing my homework I notice that I will save money even allowing for the purchase of a one way fare to AKL as well as allowing me to have an additional flight segment (otherwise restricted to 16).
Any assistance would be appreciated.

You will probably need to pay by credit card and there is a 2-3.5% charge imposed by the credit company for FX.

Other than that it should be fine.

I am in the process of purchasing a QF Akl-Mel-HKG-Mel-Akl ticket in J and it is much cheaper.

Note that the Wizard Clear Advantage MasterCard charges no fee for foreign transactions and, in my experience, the exchange rates they use are very competitive. A number of AFFers have them so doing a search for terms like 'Wizard' or 'credit card' may yield some discussion threads on the topic.
