Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Rate the lounges top to bottom. Might do a longe crawl to review....
Might take a guess that BA is the last one on the list
I’d suggest QF J is last. I’d eat at QF F and enjoy the best champagne option, then relax elsewhere like QR or EK. BA also has real champagne and better ‘lounging’ spots than QF F, which I see more as a dining space with some odd seating around it. I wouldn’t bother with QF J unless you haven’t seen it and are curious

Personally I'd rate it in the following order.
  • QF F / QR J - QF F for certain foods and showers, QR J for ambiance and some of the food menu. QF F is better for showering as theres more rooms, but QR J does have a few nicer amenities in there (but theres only 2 Shower rooms per gender!)
  • EK J - Typical EK Hybrid F/J Lounge
  • QF J / BA J- After the renovations to BA, it's a bit nicer and can be quiet during the QF rush if the BA flights aren't quite there. QF J can be potentially the best place to take a shower out of all the lounges here as they have the most shower rooms.
  • Marhaba/SATS/Plaza Premium - they're ok but I'd rather just wander around Changi and pay for food around the place as well as chill in the central areas.
  • CX - Solid and typicaly CX lounge if you're taking CX. Only problem is it's in T4 and thus works only when you take CX, if you're taking anything else it's a huge trip to T4 and back.

QF J has very specific use cases like showering or if you want a Singaporean Laksa. Overall though I do agree that it's just ok beyond that. Last year I sent my partner (SG) and her brother (NB) very specific instructions to do their shopping, head to QF J around 7:30pm ish so that they avoid the QF2 departure rush but are before the QF1 crowd arrive. Take a shower and have a look around before going to EK J for the rest of the night before their flight.

Hi Members,

apologies for a beginner query as I couldn't find any info on this.

Can I use any business class lounge on a given airport or only the one world lounge affiliated by airline on which I am flying on ?

I am flying in to Changi on BA J class and flying out on Sri Lankan airline on J class. Transit time is 12 hrs in night.

Cany suggestion on how to get the lounge access during this time

TIA

You can use any oneworld lounge if flying a oneworld airline. You can also use any specific lounge of the airline you are flying on, if that happens to be different.

This link will take you to all available lounges at any given airport for your oneworld flights: Airport Lounges: oneworld Lounges & Airport Lounge Access

It looks like, Sri Lankan also uses the DNATA lounge, which is open 0500-0300.

You might also consider a hotel either in the transit area or outside the airport. There are a couple of threads on SIN hotels for transit elsewhere on AFF.
