Is there any other way for me to to choose seats or is this not an option?

The Qatar website is best, but there can be issues logging in if your details are not in the exact format they like.

Alternately RJ.com (Royal Jordanian) works as well, but you won't be able to select the centre 4 seats on a QSuites plane.

Welcome to another Jez!

Apologies if I misinterpret your query.

To qualify as a OWA in addition to other rules all the flights have to be booked on the one PNR, the booking reference which is a combo of 6 letters & numbers.

You book the first flights online or over the phone & then as other flights become available you will have to phone up & get them added to your original PNR. You cannot make separate bookings (different PNRs) & combine them at a later date.

Ok, so basically book one leg then ring up for the rest of the legs ad add to the same PNR - how long is it taking to get through at the moment?

Hi guys, quick question, I have a (BNE-SYD-SIN) one ticket and a separate SIN - BNE ( my home) booked on points.
If I started my round the world trip from Singapore would a flight such as BA16 - SYD to London but does stop in singapore count as returning to home country?
Does qantas charge the booking fee to add flights to the itinerary even though you cant do it online.
Anyone recent exeperience of wait times? thanks guys

I would have thought so, especially if the 4th seat remains free. Call QR Australian number if you want those seats. In the past it's been a painless experience.

The centre seats are better for couples if the plane has QSuites. Can check this by logging into the Qatar Airways website and accessing "Manage booking" using the Qantas booking reference and your surname. If the seat configuration for your flight matches the layout below, then you have QSuites
Can get full details about QSuites from www.premium-flights.com

Seats 3E&F can be combined into a double bed so they are great for couples

I've recently been able to book these seats on the QR website for one of our upcoming flights

But, to answer your question re bassinet seats, you may find that a 1YO won't settle well in a bassinet - they are not very roomy.
Our son and his family fly frequently and he never picks a bassinet seat for his recently-turned 1YO because there's not enough room for her to roll over, so she gets upset. They find she sleeps much better if they just let her lie on a seat

You might be better off with window and aisle. IE, 10A and 10E. Middle seats have an impassable divider between them. See the image below


Actually what aircraft are you on? Is it an A380? Otherwise I'm pretty sure the QR aircraft 777, A350, 787 all start from row 1 in J. Makes me wonder if you're possibly on a CX aircraft?

So the first 14:30hr flight is on A380. Second 8hr flight is on 787-8 (800).

Yes, I guess you must be right - upstairs on the A380 is the only QR J cabin starting with Row 10. Bassinets in Row 10 threw me off though; haven't flown on the QR A380 for about 5-6 years but I thought the front row of J seats (Row 10) were directly opposite the toilets on each side without a bulkhead.

Actually there are 4 types. The 787 Q-suites are different to the 777 and A350 Q-suites.

Ah yes. I was trying to find the "Q Suites V2" on a 787-9 when I was booking my OWA but couldn't find any flights with that aircraft to Europe from Doha. They must not have too many of them?

QR has 7 x 787-9s and all have QSuites as of April 30th, 2022

I'm a bit unclear on the situation in your first question. As for change fees, yes, Qantas does charge each and every time you make changes to this product, even though changes can't be made online (and even if they could be, Qantas's rules would apply the fee (a change fee) anyway). However, that fee is currently waived for international bookings through 31 December 2022.

Yes, I am proposing,
SIN-BNE - stop over in Brisbane ( already booked)
SYD - LHR - stop over in London - BA16 - I am concerned that it stops in Singapore, although it is ticketed as SYD- London - no mention of Singapore.. would that count as returning to the destination.
LHR-BUD - Stopover
BUD-LHR-Dubai - stop over in Dubai( or however I can get from Bud to Dubai on oneword)
DOH -BNE - stopover - would that be invalid or could I book as transit as dont really need to go back to singapore
BNE - SIn - although dont really need or want this flight

Any thoughts would be great.
