the reward ticket escalations is the best channel at this stage.Help please! I’m having a shocker with a one world classic rtw booking after making a change yesterday. I called the call centre and had 2 flights removed and added 2 new flights. All looked good on the screen but as I waited for eticket to arrive noticed other flights dropping off booking. The new flights are with Sri Lankan airlines and I think due to delay in confirming the these, other flights dropped off, but I don’t understand why other flights were affected. Anyway, another call and a more experienced consultant got her supervisor to confirm directly with Sri Lankan airlines and reinstated the other missing flights. Now these other flights are back on the booking but showing as waitlisted!!
Yesterday I emailed [email protected] but no response yet.
What’s the best way to get this escalated? Should I keep calling 13 11 31?
I’m so disappointed after spending so many hours over so many months creating a great itinerary that its going to be lost.
They will do their best to reinstate the booking.
Other flights are affected because they are all on the one ticket together with the flights you changed.
When you make a change of this nature the existing ticket needs to be completely reissued… and while it’s waiting for that to happen it’s essentially a reservation just sitting there, unticketed and unpaid. Some airlines have a very short period… as little as a couple of hours, to fix that. And if you haven’t ticketed they’ll cancel their flights out of the booking.
If the reward escalation can’t get the flights back, come back here for further assistance. It might be for example that certain flights that were cancelled can be replaced with qantas flights.
This is a known issue and has been going on for a long time. Qantas said they were fixing it, but haven’t in all cases as yet. You just have to stick with it and wait
