Cross posting here as it is probably more suited to the QFF thread...

I have booked 2 x Oneworld Awards in F for Aug/Sept 2013. I am trying to choosethe best seats and would like some opinions on which are the best ones Vs the onesto avoid. Seatguru and SeatExpert have helped, but I get a bit lost for
example on the BA flight) when SeatExpert asks me to nominate BA 747-400 (52/Next Generation Club World) or BA 747-400 (70/Next Generation Club World) -I am not sure which to choose.

I am travelling with my wife, and we would like to sit next to each other where possible, however I have read a few opinions on the 'couple' seats in the NewFirst on BA, and general opinion seems to be that they feel a bit cramped compared to the window seats.

Here is what I have put together so far.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Qantas, QF1 SYD – DXB , A380, in F

Are these seats as good as any for a couple?

Flight #3

Should we avoid the centre couple seats here?

Flight #4

CX, CX748 JNB – HKG, 744 in F

“Seat request service will be available from 180 days before departure. Please try again later”

Currently allocated seats – 2A and 2K

Without any Oneworld status (QFF Bronze), is there any way to select the seats before the 180 day mark?
