Oh?... well you can...
Oh?... well you can...
What he means is you can call and ask, you just won't get the implied desired outcome.
I'm now in ticketing hell. Does anyone have any tips on how I can solve?

Fingers crossed. The whole system is a mess though. I am randomly still getting responses from the escalations team regarding the J seat the Filipinos were unable to find. This has ranged from “business class is full” (11 months in advance….), some seats are only available for the Japanese domestic marketTicketing Hell has returned. My last amendment that I was singing about two days ago has led to the cancellation of my CX and MH sectors. I have emailed the reward escalation people to see what can be done.
There are a lot of fish dishes on JAL premium it will be hard to avoid being near them.In 10 days we will commence our trip. We have had many flight changes and time changes and at times I have needed to chase up e-tickets etc.
But it has been all quiet lately. I do lots of planning and researching for trips, but I must admit that the nerves have stepped in and I am nervous about it all going smoothly.
We fly to Singapore the day before on a separate ticket to get the flights we needed. We then commence our journey on JAL business, (I haven't ever flown with them before). I would like to contact JAL beforehand as I am anaphylaxis to fish, but I am fearful it will somehow mess up our booking.
I don't recall worrying so much about award flights in previous years, I guess I have read and heard too many sad and unfortunate experiences.

Calling JAL to indicate meal preferences is 100% safeIn 10 days we will commence our trip. We have had many flight changes and time changes and at times I have needed to chase up e-tickets etc.

So, just make sure to be seated in F or JLooking at the JAL menu page now, it seems they have upgraded their vegetarian meals in business and first, they look pretty inventive! https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/inter/service/first/meal/#vegetarian
You should also be able to select preferences on JAL's own MMB.Thanks @MEL_Traveller for the links and @Princess Fiona
I have looked at the menus ( the western ones look ok, but I would be wary) and special allergen meals (which don't look so nice). The vegetarian options look good.
I will phone them and try and sort something out. I have never pre ordered any meals on any premium flights before. Maybe I will just eat up in the lounges prior to boarding!
Yes. But IIRC ‘no fish’ isn’t an option. They *might* be able to send a message direct to catering to accommodate it as a special meal. You should also be able to select preferences on JAL's own MMB.

Without seeing a full breakdown it’s hard to be sure.I am planning an itinerary for next year for my wife and I in Business. I began booking flights a couple of weeks ago with:
BNE-HKG(S)-HEL-GVA(S,surface). This was one CX & two AY flights. The fees & taxes came to $366.11 each.
Yesterday, I added MAD-HEL-KIX (two AY flights). This involved a wasted hour on the phone to the Manila call centre (I think) but my second call (sounded like Fiji) was successful and the new tickets were emailed within 24 hours.
My issue relates to the new taxes and charges. When I looked on the Qantas multicity booking site at the taxes & charges for the two AY flights, MAD-HEL-KIX, it shows 165.24 Euro for each person (which would convert to about A$272). However, I was charged A$437.10 each to add the new AY flights to my existing booking.
Can someone please explain why the fees and charges are different? Could there be a mistake here?
