One world becoming less relevant

Reminiscent of our recent experience flying CX —> QF on a CR.

Initially booked QF HKG-SYD online and then added CX PNH (now KTI) to HKG by calling up.

There was a second reticketing after the airport change but online, the trip was in the QF MMB and visible on CX including OWE status and access to preferred seats.

Yet at the airport checkin, our FF#s had dropped off with zero benefits. We had done OLCI but no BP was issued. So no warning that something was wrong.

I hinted to the agent to enter a leading zero (not shown on the vFF card in app) and all restored.

I’m speculating that locking down all these systems is causing some issues?

It seems strange that my QF number was not included for all sectors of the booking seeing QF issued the ticket.
This happened to me on my last J OWA . My QF Ff# was on the Qantas and AA boarding passes no problem, but it had droped off the BA and AY flights.

Agent at BA first lounge entry kindly added it and gave me new BA boarding pass after showing my platinum card (this is why i still order a physical card every year) but at HEL the lounge dragon was adamant i only had access to J lounge until his supervisor came over and did something.

I had used first check-in at HEL and wondered why the agent was not friendly she probably thought i was a dumb tourist in the wrong line, not that there was anyone else queuing.
