Need a credit card with no fee but one that offers travel insurance. I have listed a few below or if you can suggest any others.

Which of these would you recommend for someone going to Canada and USA for a year - so would be covered with travel insurance. I heard there were some restrictions with American express blue sky? is this correct?

Your experience with the travel insruance co will be helpful too.

American Express Blue Sky:

HSBC Gold Card: first year free

Westpac Gold: waive fee?

Bankwest Gold Card: No annual fee

As far as I am aware they all cover periods up to three months (possibly six months in some cases), so they may not be suitable for a year long trip.

Read the PDS for them very carefully as they may be quite strict on what has to be paid for on the card for the insurance to kick in.
