My German isn’t good enough to identify the third variety of the trio, but it tasted like a Cab Merlot to me and was very good with the steak.
It’s Zweigelt. An Austrian variety rarely seen elsewhere. I’d generally put it on a level with Grenache and Gamay as a light-to-midweight red. Interesting to see it in a blend with Cabernet and Merlot.

In this cuvée, Zweigelt emphasizes the fruity aroma, Merlot brings richness to the palate, and Cabernet Sauvignon complements it with its refined tannin structure and subtle spice.
