We have only yet opened the 1965 Penfolds 707. It was surprisingly drinkable. Dark red brick colour, soft perfume nose, slightly sweet?, balanced, long finish. All a bit in awe that it would survive that long. Obviously had been re-corked, but the bottle is the Penfolds embossed one "This bottle always remains the property of Penfolds Wines Pty Ltd and must not be filled by any other person"
I think I will keep the empty bottle, nice memories of a good client..
