Hi guys,

I'm new to the whole frequent flyers scene and was wondering if you could give me some advice on the best avenue to take considering my situation.

I currently am standing on about 125,000 points 30 SC's off reaching silver which expires Sep30.

I received the double SC's bonus email and registered the other day for that and I plan on taking a weekend trip to Sydney to achieve silver (even though i know you don't get that many benefits, i do understand you get bonus FF points for future flights, which bronze doesn't get).

I then plan on flying to europe in December and returning in April. I was just wondering what you guys think is the best option to take? I see I can get a return to europe for about 128,000 points on economy.

Would this be the best way to go about spending the points? I'd love to have the option of purchasing an economy fare and upgrading to premium or business (i've never flown above economy before and would love the experience!)

Just not sure the best way to go about it, so would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks guys.

Just quickly. Have a look at the other recent thread called Reward Flights Booking, started by Alexh92. Many same things apply to your request I think.

Sorry, gotta go.

A PS gets to select seats on international flight with paying a fee.

It's going to be hard to use your points in December, especially after the first week or so as it's a peak period and most if not all reward seats that may have been available would have been snapped up in early January.

Is there any reasonable chance for you to vary the timing of your travel to Europe?
