Interesting that in the Lionair thread, a quote from the Lion Air spokesperson suggested that they would be looking at new routes.
With plenty of new routes coming on line in the last 3 years thanks to DJ, JQ & now TT, I thought it would be a bit of fun to see what others think the routes are that are up for grabs.
I guess it could be divided in three categories, new domestic jet routes (currently for city pairs not serviced by jet services at all), new domestic prop routes & the much broader new international routes.
I can't think of too many off the top of my head (aside from international routes where the scope is endless), but for domestic jet routes, I wonder whether a NTL-PER redeye would provide a good opportunity for a LCC to increase the utilisation of an aircraft. As for props, I just have a wishlist... MEL-BHQ (for personal reasons) and MEL-DBO (for work reasons).
Lion Air Australia’s route network is yet to be defined but we will be connecting points not currently serviced and creating a fantastic new offering for the travelling public
