New Qantas promos including double status credits (book by 3/9/25; travel 4/9/25 until 22/8/26)

You'll probably find that the already earned tally has been reduced by 40

Mine has been reduced by 150, and the earned this year 150 more than I have otherwise earned.

I almost wonder if there's enough gaslighting going on to warrant a formal complaint to Qantas - "sneakily" reducing your already earned total to make it look like the thank you credits did count towards the bonus.

There is also a promise on the lifetime page that "your status credits reset each year but never totally disappear" - no asterisk, if buts or maybes.

In comparison, points club plus rollover SCs never hit the yearly total at all - and should be how they apply here, if they're not intended to apply to lifetime.

I strangely received the 300 bonus SCs last night, but my total didn't reflect a change. This morning after a flight and the credits for that flight being added did the total increase.

Like others, on the Lifetime Status page it reflects the bonus as a deduction in "already earned" and an addition to "earned this year", which I reckon is a bit of a scummy way to go about it.

Got my status reset at the end of Feb '26, starting new in Mar '26, going P1 -> WP, praying that there's a red-tail sale so I can use that method to help me retain WP at a cheaper $/SC, will also achieve LTS.

Annoying, it pretty much puts me past halfway to P1, but just really not worth pushing with my own expense to retain P1.

Got my first screening for the August / September 2025 edition of Fight Club at 5pm this afternoon. Will report back when the DSC land into the account.

**** Original SC of 10 posted while in the air..

Let's see how long for the DSC

I did search for 30 minutes but does anybody know what happens if you have a DSC eligible booking with 2 passengers and you split the ticket? Do one or both or neither remain DSC eligible?

Both gets it. the original PNR has no problems and the new one has it too. I confirmed this somewhere in the thread.
Also remember to cancel any upgradesm requests before you split or the system is not going to know what to do. (We had an upgrade fail with 14 empty J seats).

Bit of a random question. I booked CHC-BNE-MEL for 85+60 SC on the DSC promo. The CHC-BNE leg ok, BNE-MEL has been cancelled and I'm now routed BNE-CBR-MEL. It's actually the quickest route available. A quick check shows me this revised domestic leg would earn 80SC.

Advice please...will I earn 60+60 SC (original booking), 80 SC (new route) or 80+80 (DSC applied to rerouted booking)?

You should get the DSC on the sectors you actually fly (i.e. 80+80). If this had been less than what you would have earned with your initial itinerary, you could write to QF to request original routing credit (ORC).

I had a similar issue earlier this year where due to an aircraft change and a misconnect, a planned DRW-PER flight (normally 80 * 2 = 160SC) became DRW-SIN-SYD-PER (100+120+80 *2 = 600SC). I got the full DSCs for the rerouted flights (and of course didn't request ORC!)

Wonderful, thanks for taking the time to confirm this. The reroute will leave me 10 points shy of platinum, will ask at BNE if they can get me onto an alternative that offers 90 (fingers crossed) so - bit of an unexpected adventure today, but making the most of the opportunity!

Edited to add: your 160 --> 600SC though, bit of a win if you didn't mind the diversion.
