New Amex statement credits

Dyson online is a mixed bag - You can't even create an online account - Ordered 2 new filters for my air purifier a few weeks ago.

Only 1 was sent, did a chat over messenger and back and forward for a day with pointless questions. Threatened a chargeback and they agreed to send another 1.

The new one was sent without notification and attempted to be delivered today, wrong address and wrong phone number on the package, and the courier was trying to call but it wasn't me... Managed to get the courier to leave it with me..

Reddit is full of tales of cancelled orders after the process completed with confirmation.

I found that the expensive vacuum was around 1400 on their site and I purchased direct from Dyson Taren point for 965 so I didn't bother with the 6%

Here's how mine ultimately posted on my Amex statement. There's a distinction of sorts, so my recollection wasn't entirely clear.



These kinds of double dips are very welcome. I rented through Thrifty recently and the charge on my statement was from Hertz. I've already got the credit for that card for a Hertz rental but it would be interesting to know if it would have triggered or contributed to a credit.
