New Adelaide Qantas Club & Business Lounge

There's 'al-dente' and there's 'al-dente'. It depends on the cook. I'm not sure I like my pasta truly al-dente. Sometimes pasta can be so al-dente it's tough and you can still taste raw flour. I like a softer pasta. At least it's cooked. I'll just have to wait and taste it.
PS I've had potatoes al-dente ie raw, served in a retaurant. They were sent back. Some foods just need to be cooked thoroughly.

You do realise this is an airline lounge, not a restaurant? Would love to see you mulling over the $11 wines they serve :)

Hmmm... QF F MEL, SYD, SIN, CX PIER F, WING F Haven (RIP)...

Defo feel more like restaurants to me......

The Lallier they serve in the QF SYD F Lounge has a distinctly $2 cafe taste about it ...

Regards,

BD

Not a fan of pasta, especially when travelling as I usually end up wearing it. I also can't cook it well. Give me a nice cheese platter, fruit and crackers and I'm good. I understand the cheese platter there is quite nice.

Wow. First time through since all barricades removed.

The layout looked a bit screwy and “what were they thinking” when it was half finished but now the full concept visible I really like it. Well done whoever came with the concept. Open spacious, different areas for different folks.

I love how’s it’s club lounge and business lounge

Am I the only one who doesn't like the seating arrangements. I hate the bench seats and there aren't enough tables to work on. If there is a group travelling they all gather round and pull seats together and can block or at least restrict the central ailse. I'll tolerate it because that is all there is but I don’t like it. I like an individual seat, even if I have to share the small table. This is a case of "packin em in".

Heh, my first visit wont be till Dec.
Now that the J lounge and the QP here in ADL, are now separated, (I guess it would be in other capital cities).
Used to love the fact that in the past, I could be in 2 lounge at the same time, now its one side "upper crust" other side the pub.

All quiet here or am I in the wrong thread? Anyway, sort of pleased withhe the ADL J lounge. Had schnitzel a la parmigiana. Very nice. Would have had seconds but eating out later. Food is on a six cycle so hopefuly the same next time..
I've had the parmi as well. I feel like it was more of a fried thigh with neoplitan sauce and parmesan but the chicken was tender and tasty so I was a fan!

My first visit I had the prawn pasta which was also relatively enjoyable. The buffet on that occasion also had fish bites and chips which were the best chips I've ever had from a buffet (I just wish they were there to accompany the parmi next time).

I can also dream!
