New 100 Year anniversary Q Tags

Qantas has updated its website with respect of physical cards and kits.
Now that travel is beginning to open up again, we're pleased to announce that from 17 December 2020, Qantas will resume distribution of physical cards and kits to members who attain a higher tier as well as members who purchase or renew Qantas Club membership.

The distribution of physical cards and kits will remain paused until 31 December 2021 for new Frequent Flyer members, members who retain their tier and members who move to a lower tier

So... 31 dec 2021 now for re qualified QFF members. Ironically, the way I read this announceement, existing QFF bronze (or silver) members who come from Virgin with a succesfull gold status match should get their pack as soon as they pass the challenge

Have we seen any P1 100 Year Anniversary tags? If so I would like to get my hands on one or two.
Yes they do exist, I called the VIP team a couple of weeks back and was advised that there were no 100 tags left. I requested a new tag anyway and this arrived today. MrsM managed to get the WP version early in the year. They only sent one.

Oh well it didn't work in my case.

The response was

"Please note that Q Bag Tags will not be replaced due to fair wear and tear. Under certain circumstances, Q Bag Tags which are faulty, lost or damaged may be replaced at Qantas’ discretion. Replacement of Q Bag Tags is not guaranteed. To find out if you qualify for a replacement, please contact the Qantas Rewards Store with full details."

Fortunately, “Jennifer” emailed me overnight:

“As requested SYD, we’ve ordered your Q bag tag, which will be delivered to you in the next 10-14 business days.”

Hopefully a 100yr version.

I've had no response to my enquiry. I should have asked last week when I had to change, then cancel then rebook our flights to Hobart

I got a 'computer says no' email the other day.
From Lindy.
Jennifer must be on holidays.
"We’ve temporarily pause sending out replacement Qantas Frequent Flyer Card and Bag tag. The card/kit paused period took effect from 1 April through to 31 March 2021.

This includes for Members who either purchase or renew Qantas Club membership, retain status or attain a higher stats or join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. Members will still get access to the digital card in the Qantas app and email communication will be sent regarding tier changes or membership purchases. All Qantas and partner booking systems will reflect any changes too.

However, you can access your digital Frequent Flyer Card when you download the Qantas App. To view on the Qantas App, click on ‘My QFF’ and then tap the card icon on the top-right of your screen."

Yeah, I was concerned by some other comments along those lines but I did say in my request (and I meant to mention in my previous post) that my Q Tags are Mk I original issue WPs ie about 10 yo).

Also, Jenny’s response took about 1 1/2 wks.

Jennifer must have been doing the rounds as I received the same email overnight. Also hoping they are the 100yr version.

I did mention that I had lost in the request, not wear and tear.

Mine arrived too. Nice to have something with the 100 on it
Same here. My first request via the website was in late November.

Anyway, hearing nothing more, I followed it up 28 days later. They then advised to expect it within 10-14 business days, which has now happened.

hmm got this reply from QFF: "Like most airlines impacted by Coronavirus, Qantas is bound by Government enforced travel restrictions resulting in network changes and lounge closures. As a result we have paused a number of our travel related services including the issuance of physical membership cards and bag tag, and so we’re unable to provide a replacement bag tag for you at this time."
