Yair, they (QF and VA) should use more Aussie products, cheeses and butter, but they don't.
And dont tell me Lurpak is Aussie.
But you can write to Customer Care, make your "suggestion/s" known to them, they will then call you back, thank you for your "feedback", but, sad to say, nothing changes big time.
Come to think of it, the fodder I had on JetConnect in Jul this year, from AKL to MEL, that would have to have been NZ produce, ...

But Lurpak got the chop from QF did it not. There are some out there that preferred products to be sourced on quality and not on patriotic views.

Even the milk on QF was imported about 10 years ago - forgot the brand - something Dutch sounding - but it's been Australian for a while at least. Lurpak is Danish butter.

Most people I know have no problem with NZ produce in Australia but probably anywhere else is a no-no.

("Double negatives are a no-no")

Yeah, me. I prefer Kerrygold butter from Ireland.

Well they pinched it from us (or vice versa). Will have to sample a few when we're there in January. I have nagging feeling I did have a burger with beetroot there a while ago.

We've got to visit the famous (or is it overrated?) Fergburgers in Queenstown.

I just love their website:
FERGBURGER
I went past Fergburger when I was last in Queenstown but had eaten, a very big queue and I did ask a couple of people if it was worth it. They all assured me (in various accents) it definitely was.

With the Australian vs International on board doesn't it come down to the old cultural cringe. High quality Australian produce often loses out to mid quality mass produced European brands because somehow "European" "Imported" is automatically viewed to be better.

Mid quality anything is never going to cut it.
There are for example plenty of average to poor French Sparkling wines ( Champagne)
