Oh no, they called to let me know I've only been approved for 3k. I had to ask for a manual review. I held this CC two months ago. What the hell is wrong with NAB?!

Do payments to utilities and council rate payments count towards the $1500 spend? I'm pretty certain that payments to the ATO do not.

exact same story for me, have had way more credit before with no issues.

applied again today with new income after a raise, fingers crossed it goes through this time.

Received card 2 weeks ago - Paid my annual council rates on the card the day was activated.

Checked my velocity account today and the 75,000pts were there this morning. Is there anything wrong with ringing and canceling the card on Monday? Or am I better off keeping it a few months?

Can anyone kindly assist with my query - I held a Nab Qantas CC with them more than 12 months ago and still a current NAB customer with transaction accounts.

Will they do a credit check if I apply for this card? I recently applied the ANZ black for the 2nd time after closing the basic version and there wasn't a credit check.

I think they would do a credit check. I have a NAB card and just applied for this one based on a NAB agent's advice and sure enough, got another check.

Got my card the other day - put some spend through, do I need to ring up to activate velocity as I haven't given them my Velocity number yet :/ I'm so happy I'm not a NAB customer - their web interface is seriously a piece of s***. I thought for a moment I stepped into a time machine, then I realised I did.

Use the app it's a lot better

Received the card late July, put the necessary spend through it in the first week. On the 20 August had only 20,000 points post to velocity.... Anyone had this problem?

Rang NAB, they said they'll get back to me this week. Will post outcome.

Surprised ANZ didn't do a credit check. I've had 3 ANZ cards over the past 5 years and they did a credit check every time. NAB also did one last time I applied for a card with them, and I was also a current NAB customer at the time. In fact, looking at my credit report, it looks like every card provider has done a check when I've applied for a new card, and looks like some even did one when I applied for a credit limit increase.

Something else I noticed, Amex and Citibank both do a "File Access" every month. Anyone know what that entails and why they do it?

a very simple check for defaults, bankruptcy etc it doesn't affect your credit score. They wanna be the first to know if anything goes wrong, it's very common in the commercial space too (creditor watch).

US based banks have their ducks in a row, my direct debit failed this weekend and AMEX immediately suspended my credit card and disabled Apple Pay. That stuff just doesn't happen with AU banks.

Thanks - interesting.

This card has been listed elsewhere on the NAB site with 0% BT and 0% interest for 15 months. I signed up with the 75k bonus and that states 19.99% interest.

NAB Velocity Rewards Premium Card - NAB

Wonder what my chances are at getting the interest free period? Will come in handy for cashflow on my holiday to Maldives.

Are you flying Singpore Suites to Maldives with your nice SQ points haul?

I followed this up and my manual review was declined due 'wholly or partly due to a credit score'.

I also note that my credit score lost 100 points from ~650 down to ~550 following this application.

I'm just going to reapply. Anyone have any other tips?

J only 772 on SQ to MLE unfortunately but I am heading there in December courtesy the MAQ HHonors card and the previous NAB & Amex Velocity offers.

Decent value for 63,112 VA points pp.

Ah well, it's been 48 hours+ now and still nothing on Veda, so I might just be in luck. Means I can jump right in to the 75k ANZ offer without hesitation now that it's back to fee free.

I thought I got away with this one, but a VEDA enquiry from NAB did eventually come through for this card. It took 4 days though...

After requesting a manual review a few times, it appears on the 3rd manual review, NAB did a further credit file lodgement with Experian. This didn't show up on Veda.

A little disappointed and I will report it with Experian as I did not authorise that second attempt :)

I did get approved just don't want it showing on my credit file.

Had a txt message approval for this card for 15k...just checked credit score and notice that NAB enquiry (activity) reduced my score from 775 very good range....to 601 ok range.....that seems a big adjustment and just as well that I don't have other applications in the pipeline.!!
