Yes, I'm serious. Last year she was hit by a car while cycling. She underwent major back surgery and now sports a part-titanium spine. She's making a good recovery but she (and we) travel a fair bit for work and leisure overseas. I'm reaching out to the AFF community as a long term admirer of your FF skills, tips and vast experience.
Shortly we're travelling to the north west Pacific for a friend's wedding. Given my wife's back condition we're going business for a personal flight - first time ever (QF 2-for-1 discount fare). But we'd been hoping for a while to get to London this year where I have family. My wife has work-related commitments, so her flight cost is covered. So my dilemma is how to join her in the same cabin!
I'm gold QFF, my wife is platinum QFF. She has 270k QFF points; I have 20k. Our flight dates are 24 Sept 2018 ex-MEL in and out of London, returning 10 Oct. Her work travel policy requires 'best fare of the day' so it prob won't be a QF (some discretion permitted, eg. avoid multiple stopovers). She can propose fares & we can top up if need be. Any suggestions / thoughts?
