Air Berlin looks like the only feasible one. I'm not sure whether I will, as I don't really fly OW anymore and with the recent QF changes for BA lounge access, I may even skip flying QF on my trips back home to Australia too.

MA Gold was simple ; I implored their status match program.

The issues in relation to BA and LHR T5 access are for QP members,nothe those with oneworld Sapphire/Emerald status.

I realise that, but due to a lack of OW over here for the trips I do that status will drop, so I'm better off flying *A / Skyteam where I do have status (and am likely to renew).

The AONE I had booked was flying Moscow-Budapest, but due to the problems they allowed me to change cities and didn't have a problem with the extra sector. Now going St Petersburg to London to Budapest on BA.
