QF will now only allow chauffeur drive for P and J to eligible pax if the ticket was issued by QF or EK only. So if you're on a oneworld round world fare for example issued on CX or BA with a previously eligible QF flight you will not get chauffeur drive.

Dubai connect will now not be available to Economy Class ticketed in N, O, Q and X (Redemption class).

Any word if they're going to cancel already booked CD for customers on tickets issued by other carriers?

I have an AAward booked from LHR to Oz in P. CD still shows as booked but I don't trust QF anymore.

I'm fairly certain the official position was always that the ticket stock must be QF or EK - perhaps if people were able to avail themselves of it on non-QF/EK ticket stock before, then they've firmed up their process to ensure the rules are followed??

Do you have a source for the other changes to Dubai Connect?

EDIT - Note that changes to Dubai Connect are updated on the website.

According to the QF Webpage not even EK stock qualifies:

"To be eligible for this service, customers must be on travelling on a Qantas (081) ticket in First, Business, Premium Economy or Economy."

Oh, and the kids have again been proof-reading themselves, Red Roo!!

"If you booked your flights through a travel agent and your booking qualifies for Dubai If you booked your flights through a travel agent and your booking qualifies for Dubai Connect, ask your agent to book this service on your behalf."

So if I book an award on the QF site flying EK to or from Perth is it on the 081 ticket stock or do we get screwed again??

If you're booked on an EK code wouldn't you get CD through Emirates?

Not sure with CD, but with Dubai Connect if you book the service via their website, it doesn't matter whose stock you're on...

[h=3]Operating Carrier and Ticketing
[/h]Both your inbound and outbound flights to and from Dubai must be an Emirates flight (marketed by Qantas or Emirates) or a Qantas flight (marketed by Emirates or Qantas). Codeshare flights are not eligible other than EK5000 and QF8000 flights.
The offer is not available on flights with other airlines and/or where Emirates is the marketing carrier only.

The itinerary must be a single booking and ticketed on one ticket. The ticket must be issued on an Emirates (176) document or a Qantas (081) document.

Interesting, too, that EK still allow this service for the majority of their own redemption tickets:

[h=3]Emirates Skywards Redemption Tickets
[/h]All Emirates Skywards redemption tickets except Saver Economy (i.e. Ticket must be 100% Flex fares) are eligible for the ‘Dubai Connect’ offer, subject to the other conditions herein. The Fare Type paid criteria is deemed to be met for qualifying Emirates Skywards redemption tickets.

What was that about the better service out of this World's Best Alliance would prevail?? Looks like QF continue to slowly pick it apart, seam-by-seam.

Regards,

BD

Of course they are going to cancel them. Silly question RG1.
They cancelled already booked CD to and from USA and that was booked through QF.

The T&C's always had EK (176-) or QF (081-) ticketed stock only.

Seems that the online booking form had not been 'aware' of this.

If it's booked on the QF site, then it's on QF ticket stock, so you'll be fine (as it would be fine if on EK stock, as well). As others have noted, the T&Cs have always said the flights needed to be ticked on either QF or EK stock.

My CD booking has mysteriously disappeared for an AA award flight
WIll PM red roo to get clarification

HALF of mine disappeared overnight (AAward)

So I had
HBA-MEL: transfer to airport gone
transfer from airport still there
MEL-LHR: transfer to airport still there
transfer from airport gone

Fkn Qantas, seems they've managed to screw me again.

I don't understand why they wouldn't allow CD on bookings on other ticket stock, as long as it is a QF flight number. QF would still get its money for a QF flight number regardless of who tickets it? is that how it works?

To be fair it's not like those of us on AAwards weren't aware that technically we weren't eligible for the service even if it let us book, and people had successfully used the service in the past....complaining about not getting a service that one isn't eligible for is a bit rich tbh.

That being said my booked CD transfers are still listed (I have to/from MEL booked for a LHR-MEL-SYD issued on 001 stock in Dec), but I can no longer add "to LHR" or "from SYD" to the booking (which was possible last week but I don't need them so didn't bother), hoping they won't get cancelled, but if they do - so be it I'll just make other arrangements...
